Beach Huts

When visiting Mudeford, near Christchurch, Dorset, the first impression is one of similarity and uniformity of the beach huts. But this couldn’t be further from the truth. On closer inspection I was struck by the personality and individuality of each. I wanted to highlight the differences from the obvious – colour, to the finer details such as curtains and blinds and the type of wood and design used for the verandas. On the side windows of each, I wanted to achieve a reflection of the neighbouring beach hut in the glass whilst still conveying the soft furnishings on the inside of the window. At the base of each set of steps is a depression in the sand to hint at the feet that may have climbed up and down.
A2 or A3 unframed Giclee Print print with a plain border, individually signed by the artist and embossed with the Steve Russell Studios stamp of authenticity. Individually printed in a numbered limited edition of 20.
